             Greetings from our Grand Worthy Matron

First giving honor to God who is the center of my life. It is with a humble heart and gratitude that I greet my Sisters and Brothers to thank you for accepting my trust. I assure you that I do not take this position lightly and I will perform the responsibilities of this high office to the best of my ability for the welfare of this Grand Chapter in and for the state of Virginia.

While my tenure is dedicated to the treasured memories of my beloved husband, my parents and dear friend I do realize we have plenty of work to perform which is vital for the future and success of our organization.

Under my leadership the Grand Chapter will continue its efforts to make the Eastern Star organization an organization in which our members will want to be a part of for many years. We have to find ways to motivate our Chapter members to want to contribute to the success of the Eastern Star organization and create an atmosphere of trust where our STARS feel engaged and want to shine.

This organization was built upon the broad shoulders of those who came before us and now we have to enlist those coming behind us to assemble with us at the helm in order to keep our legacy alive.

With the assistance of all Elected, Appointed Officers, and subordinate Chapters I will ensure we transform the way we do business within our organization. This will be a year of transformation as we position ourselves to improve the reconciliation processes including the use electronic systems for budgetary and finance requirements, better align the Grand Chapter staff daily operating functions and reporting requirements to help us manage our daily operations more efficiently and effectively.

The Grand Chapter will continue to award scholarships to our youth, call or visit the sick and shut-in, provide for charity, feed and clothe the less fortunate. The Grand Chapter will endeavor to be transparent and take actions to address your concerns from top down. The Grand Officers under my leadership will have clearly defined roles, responsibilities and accountability. I will be observant and hold our Officers accountable and recognize those who fulfill their commitment  to uphold our constitution and support the fundamental principles of the Eastern Star organization to you and to the Grand Chapter.
